As part of the “Cultural Unity and Diversity” course, Claire gave a lecture on November 10th 2022 on the issue of Polish national identity from a long-term perspective. Going back over the twists and turns of Polish history since the end of the 18th century (partitions, emigration, independence, occupations, return to Europe…), the course familiarised the Master’s students with the main actors and dynamics of the national vision in Poland, and its impact on current Polish political life.
